Art in the garden – Hillier Gardens and Arboretum

Hillier Gardens

Art at Hillier Gardens

When beautiful weather gives you a chance to get outside and stretch your legs, a family day out to Hillier Gardens and Arboretum is highly recommended.

Pack up a picnic and set out to see what’s there.

It can get busy, but the overflow car park has ample parking to accommodate everyone. The picnic benches just off the overflow car park are well placed so you don’t have to carry your tuck far, and the arrangement of trees and space means you have your own private outdoor dinning room.

Hillier art in the garden sounds like something perhaps for Grandma, but it can be just as enjoyable for kids;

Fun for the whole family!

finding the artworks, following the map and ticking off what they have found. It is much more than a day out for Grandma! The sculptures are varied and interesting.

The treehouse is brilliant if not a bit scary for mums with little kids who want to follow their big brothers, the potential “drop” will have mums running about a bit!

On your wander around the gardens you’ll come across swings and log hopping with well placed benches to enjoy the view made for a great family day out. Refreshing for your eyes and heart.
