On Friday 15 July 2016, Winchester’s Forte Kitchen will be opening its doors after- hours to welcome gastronomes and cocktail enthusiasts alike for a unique evening of food and drink.
“Kitchen Cabinet” is a new and exciting collaboration between the award-winning restaurant and Cabinet Rooms, the city’s most talked about food and drink events organisers. For one night, the ‘Kitchen Cabinet’ will offer people a tasty alternative to Winchester’s bar scene. Co-founder and Director of Forte Kitchen, Naomi Beamish, explained, “the Kitchen Cabinet will be a relaxed affair for discerning foodies and so we shall be offering table service and a range of unique drinks, small plates and nibbles. We are delighted to be working with Cabinet Rooms who share our passion for great customer service and quality ingredients.”
Gary and Marcus, aka the gents from Cabinet Rooms, are known locally for organising Winchester Cocktail Week and, more recently, the Ginchester Fête, which was listed in Stylist Magazine as one of the top ways to celebrate World Gin Day in June.
“We are big fans of Forte Kitchen,” said Gary, “and so we’re thrilled to be able to team up with them for this culinary adventure. We love their food and will be drawing inspiration from their menu as we put together a special cocktail list for the night.”
Due to be released on social media in July, details of the menu are under wraps but Gary did give away one small hint: “Anyone who follows us on social media will know that we love Forte Kitchen’s pancakes for breakfast so don’t be surprised if you see them on the Kitchen Cabinet menu in one form or another…”
The Kitchen Cabinet will be open from 6pm to 11pm on Friday 15th July. Entrance is free. Table service only. For the latest news follow Cabinet Rooms and Forte Kitchen on Twitter (@CabinetRooms and @ForteKitchen) and on Facebook (/CabinetRoomsWinchester and /Forte-Kitchen).
